Aux prises avec un gigantesque tome de la Commedia, ils tombent bien vite en proie au sommeil et Topolino, captur par la branche d’un arbre de l’illustration de la fort par Gustave Dor[1], est transport en Enfer… L il rencontre Pippo/Virgile. Commence alors leur longue prgrination vers l’ oscura e dolorosa meta o ils prient Satan de les faire sortir de ce mauvais pas (le doloroso passo ).
La storica collana de I Grandi Classici Disney si rinnova nel formato e riparte dal n. 1 nel febbraio 2016. Infatti, dopo aver chiuso la testata con l’albo n. 350 del gennaio 2016, Panini Comics, attuale editore Disney italiano, rilancia in grande stile il classico appuntamento mensile con le pi belle storie Disney.
La nuova collana si presenta di maggiori dimensioni come formato, passando da 12×18,5 cm a 14,5×19,5 cm, e con una foliazione simile, l’albo 350 aveva 324 pagine, questo ne ha 292 ma risulta assai pi spesso, grazie ad una carta a pi alta grammatura che risulta decisamente pi appagante. Perde la copertina metallizzata, rimane metalizzato solo il titolo, e ne guadagna il design, mentre il copertinista rimane il grandissimo Giorgio Cavazzano. Le modifiche fanno lievitare un po’ il prezzo che passa a 4,90 euro. Di questo primo albo esiste per anche una cover variant da collezione del costo di 7 euro.
Il criterio di suddivisione delle avventure rimane invariato, nella sezione centrale del volume (identificati nell’indice dal titolo in colore blu) troviamo i veri “classici”, perle riconosciute della storia Disney, mentre le altre storie proposte sono un po’ meno celebri ma sempre di ottimo livello (basti pensare in quest’albo alla presenza delle storie Paperino e il matrimonio di Reginella e di Paperino all’inferno).
Il volume si apre quindi proprio con l’episodio Paperino e il matrimonio di Reginella, opera della coppia Cimino / Cavazzano, che si ricollega alla precedente storia di Reginella apparsa sull’albo n. 350 della precedente serie de I classici. Si prosegue con un giallo scritto e disegnato dal grande Romano Scarpa per le chine di Cavazzano, Pippo contro Pippo.
Si apre quindi la sezione classici con l’inimitabile storia L’inferno di Topolino a cui dedicata anche la copertina dell’albo, avventura datata 1949 e firmata Martina / Bioletto finora mai apparsa nella collana dei Grandi Classici Disney in cui Topolino, sulle orme di Dante, parteciper ad una visionaria gita all’inferno in rima che ironizza sull’Italia del dopoguerra. Sempre nella sezione classici troviamo Paperino e nipoti in musica diabolica (1957) e Topolino e i diabolici incendiari (1958). La sezione centrale ‘I Grandi Classici Superstar’ introdotta come di consueto da qualche nota storica sugli episodi e la loro vita editoriale.
L’albo si chiude quindi con un’altra avventura decisamente in tema, L’inferno di Paperino.
