Well I don’t know if that’s something that happens when you are working with newer PK files but I can’t find anything on memories or previous trainers or anything like that for trades when working with pk4. I also don’t understand needing to change the OT. I could trade someone to get the evolve and then have then trade it back which I have done several times on let’s go.
So what I have done temporarily is just adjust the species and nothing else. This gets the Pokmon in the right state obviously and the legality checks out but I’m worried about the PID being identical. I tried re rolling the PID but it comes back illegal saying the encounter can’t be matched. I’m assuming because you can’t catch them. So I’ve been leaving the PID alone.
I now have an Alakazam with the same PID as the Kadabra.. Is this an issue? When I export them to Pokmon home will home be worried about the Pokmon having the same PID? Or should I go catch a different Kadabra?

Well I don’t know if that’s something that happens when you are working with newer PK files but I can’t find anything on memories or previous trainers or anything like that for trades when working with pk4. I also don’t understand needing to change the OT. I could trade someone to get the evolve and then have then trade it back which I have done several times on let’s go.
So what I have done temporarily is just adjust the species and nothing else. This gets the Pokmon in the right state obviously and the legality checks out but I’m worried about the PID being identical. I tried re rolling the PID but it comes back illegal saying the encounter can’t be matched. I’m assuming because you can’t catch them. So I’ve been leaving the PID alone.
I now have an Alakazam with the same PID as the Kadabra.. Is this an issue? When I export them to Pokmon home will home be worried about the Pokmon having the same PID? Or should I go catch a different Kadabra?

In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, Explorers of Sky, and Gates to Infinity the Link Cable item is used to evolve the Pokmon that would evolve by trade in the core series games.
If the Pokmon would evolve by being traded while holding an item, then both the Link and that same item are required to evolve this Pokmon. For instance, Scyther evolves into Scizor by using both the Link Cable and the Metal Coat. The items are consumed during the Evolution.
In Gates to Infinity, the Link Cable can be used to evolve two available Pokmon: Gurdurr into Conkeldurr, and Boldore into Gigalith. However, other items used in trade Evolutions (such as the King’s Rock or Metal Coat) are not found in-game, and there are no available Pokmon that would evolve by using those items.
In Pokmon Sleep, the Linking Cord item and certain amounts of candy are required to evolve the available Pokmon that would normally evolve by trade in the core series games. This item and the candy are consumed upon use.
In Machop At Work, if the player character Machop manages to smash all 100 rocks, it evolves into Machoke, and then again into Machamp. Although Machoke evolves into Machamp by trade in the core series games, it appears to evolve simply as a result of smashing rocks in this spin-off game.
In Pokmon the Series, trade Evolutions do not require that a Pokmon be traded between different Trainers to evolve. For instance, Pokmon that evolve by trading with a held item will evolve upon transfer between Pokmon Centers while holding the correct Evolution item, as seen in the Gold and Silver episode Outrageous Fortunes with Misty’s Poliwhirl and in the Ruby and Sapphire episode The Evolutionary War with Nancy and Keith’s Clamperl.
